WHEN: October 21, 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.

WHERE: Doheny Library

WHAT: The 12th annual bazaar will include presentations and artifacts dug up from the USC and L.A. library archives.

WHY: Know where you came from!

 

LARB Presents: Revolutionary Readings at Lit Crawl L.A.

WHEN: October 25, 7 P.M.

WHERE: Skinny’s Lounge NoHo

WHAT: L.A.’s best literary journal gives Lit Crawl its all with nonfiction readings by Michelle Chihara, Jervey Tervalon, and more.

WHY: It only comes once a year!

 

Ending Homelessness in Los Angeles

WHEN: October 25, 8:30 A.M.

WHERE: The Ebell of Los Angeles

WHAT: A public discussion of strategies and changes to implement to help L.A.’s homeless population.

WHY: Panelists will discuss newly-passed legislation, including Measure H and Proposition HHH.

 

Sex Cells: Halloween Monster Party

WHEN: October 27, 10 P.M.

WHERE: The Echo

WHAT: A star-studded lineup of musicians, camp icons, and spooky happenings.

WHY: Special guest star: Michael Alig.

 

Howl-o-Ween

WHEN: October 28, 12 P.M. to 4 P.M.

WHERE: Angel City Brewery

WHAT: Hang out with some adoptable pets from the Westside German Shepherd Rescue, drink beer, and chill.

WHY: What’s better than dogs? Halloween-themed dog adoptions.

 

Long Beach Zombie Crawl

WHEN: October 28, 2 P.M. to 10 P.M.

WHERE: Shoreline Village

WHAT: Booze your way (safely, please!) through Long Beach wearing your finest zombie apparel!

WHY: What’s Halloween without at least one Zombie Crawl?!

 

Models of Pride LGBTQ+ Youth Conference

WHEN: October 29, until 8:30 P.M.

WHERE: USC Campus

WHAT: The L.A. LGBT Center’s “Models of Pride” Conference turns 25!

WHY: YouTubers and educators and politicians – oh my!

 

Dia de los Muertos: The Legend of Posada

WHEN: October 28 through 29

WHERE: Hollywood Forever Cemetary

WHAT: A celebration of the best holiday ever and a celebration of Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada all in one.

WHY: L.A.’s own Day of the Dead celebrations are not to be missed.
