Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli Head to Palm Springs to Get Hitched

Quick: You have five minutes to plan the best queer wedding that ever was. What do you do first?

If you’re Orange is the New Black star Samira Wiley finally tying the knot with long term girlfriend (and OITNB writer) Lauren Morelli, there are a few things at the top of your list.

1. Buy a white dress and matching high-necked formal pantsuit (both by Christian Siriano, of course)
2. Get tons of confetti
3. Call Martha Stewart Weddings

And last but not least, head to Palm Springs to quietly exchange vows.

The two met in 2012, while shooting the first season of the groundbreaking Orange is the New Black. Morelli had just gone through a divorce and a coming out before starting work on the project. Martha Stewart Weddings broke the story as an exclusive, gleefully reporting on the confetti-themed nuptials, replete with a Montell Jordan soundtrack. Talk about FOMO.
