WeHo Reads to Present “Stray City” This Thursday

If you’re one of the many Angelenos who enjoys “anti-” romantic comedies, stray cats, and queerness, you’re bound to love Chelsey Johnson’s new novel “Stray City,” which combines all three. “The next WeHo Reads author series event will feature Chelsey Johnson, author of the novel Stray City, in conversation with Carrie Brownstein, Sleater Kinney guitarist and star of Portlandia. Johnson and Brownstein will discuss the book on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the City’s Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room at West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. San Vicente BoulevardTickets are either $27 plus tax and fees which includes one copy of Stray City (the author will sign books after the event), or $8 general admission seats. Chelsey Johnson’s stories and essays have appeared in PloughsharesOne Story, Ninth Letter, The Rumpus, and NPR’s Selected Shorts, among others. She is an assistant professor of English at the College of William & Mary and is currently in Los Angeles working on a television project for Hulu.”
