Are you someone who feels the guilt of the holiday season but isn’t great at the giving part? Lucky for you, the City of West Hollywood just made it way easier to give back. Bins will be set up at West Hollywood City Hall to collect food and hygiene donations through December 29. These donations will go toward people living with HIV/AIDS in West Hollywood and throughout Los Angeles. Even if you don’t have non-perishable food on hand to give, donating everyday items like deodorant, toothbrushes, clothing, or tampons is a great way to help someone in need during the Holiday season. All the donated goods will go to APLA Health and from there get directly distributed to folks in the community who are in need. Your donation will also supplement groceries available through APLA Health’s Vance North Necessities of Life Program (NOLP).
So what are you waiting for? Give today. From now until December 29, 2017, the donation bins will be set up at 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard. For a full list of approved items, visit https://aplahealth.org/world-aids-day-food-drive/.
