4/20 Reasons Not to Drink at LA Pride

It’s LA Pride weekend, and for many local gays that means one thing: Day Drinking.

You know the drill: Wake up, drink, eat, drink, hang out with friends, drink, watch the parade while drinking, brunch, drink, drink, go to the festival and drink, drink, drink.

But maybe you’re not a drinker.

For those looking for a more mellow Pride experience, we’ve compiled a list of four different ways to consume your THC and 20 different strains we totally dig. This is our 4/20 list for Pride (see what we did there? Of course you did, because you’re not high yet.)

Our Favorite Products:

1. Daily High Club’s Rainbow Bong

If joints and bowls are an evening cocktail, then this bong is the endless mimosas at brunch. This thing will get you fadedddd, and you look cute and PROUD while doing it!

“Daily High Club is extremely excited to announce that we created the first-ever PRIDE smoking supplies box featuring a “Hug Me Tight” PRIDE bong, LGBTQ-owned HKT Tea, Pride accessories, rolling papers and more! The Daily High Club team proudly employs and works with people who identify as LGBTQ and realized the lack of representation within the smoking community. We support love, and have a responsibility toward our family, friends, and colleagues to create something that represents us all. A portion of the box proceeds will also go toward the Los Angeles LGBT Center.”

2. PAX or Platinum Pride Vape Cartridges

Looking for something a little more portable? Check out these vape cartridges, Not only are the cute and discrete, but they are potent too!

PAX: “As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it was very special to be part of the fantastic LA Pride Parade, which my company, PAX Labs, took part in as part of our PRIDE month program,” commented Joseph Lanzarin, PAX director of activations. “I’m extremely proud to work for a company that supports the LGBTQ+ community and believes in the power of cannabis as a force for good through shared experiences, education and transparency to drive change.”

PLATINUM: “Without sacrificing quality of the product, Platinum has been focusing on the creativity of their packaging so when buyers walk into a dispensary their eyes are drawn to the bright colored boxes and creative designs. The PRIDE Box does not fall short of originality, as it is dazzled in rainbows, vivid colors and loving words that embrace equality. As appealing packaging just isn’t enough, Platinum added in a philanthropic element of the PRIDE box to show the LGBTQ community that they care deeply about the same things.”

3. Two Roots THC ‘Cannabier’

Ok, ok so MAYBE you do need a drink at Pride, but hear us out: This one is infused with THC, meaning all the buzz and none of the hangover! What could possibly be better?

“A Two Roots tinny makes for the perfect craft beverage for everyone celebrating Pride, allowing them to be social without losing control during the festivities. Our micro-dosed craft beverages emulate the same effects of a traditional beer, without the dreaded hangover or additional adverse side-effects. Following the very rapid onset of alcohol and dissipation from the body, consumers know what to expect when trying our product for the first time. Like our craft beverages, we’re all about the positives and will have none of the negatives. Which is why we are proud to be supporting local chapters of LGBT Community Center, one tinny at a time.”

4. Kiva Drag Queen Gummies at MedMen

Conveniently located in West Hollywood, MedMen is an easy stop for those in need of a variety of Pride themed THC products. We’re most excited about the Kiva Drag Queen dummies, though. A great brand with a fun flair perfect for the weekend!

“MedMen is excited to partner with Equality California, the largest statewide LGBTQ civil rights organization, by donating 15% of all limited-edition Pride product proceeds generated at all our California stores to advance LGBTQ equality for the month of June. Additionally, MedMen employees will walk the Pride LA parade on June 9th in support of LGBTQ rights.”
