Memorial Night for WeHo Bartender Charles Kinsley

As the West Hollywood night scene mourns the loss of long-time bartender Charles Kinsley, the Mother Lode will be holding a memorial night on February 26 from 9 – 11 p.m.

“I started INVADE “THE HOLE” TUESDAYS @ The MotherLode specifically for my Great Friend Chuck! (Charlie Kinsley) I would love to surround myself with all my friends and patrons who knew and Loved him,” A post on The Mother Lode’s Facebook page read. “So many people Loved him, however, It Paled in comparison to how much he Loved all of US!”

Kinsley, widely known for his lengthy bartending gig at Mother Lode in the heart of WeHo’s Boystown, was a WeHo fixture since the early ‘90s. He’s had jobs in the city at places that no longer exist, like RubiRosa, Eat Well and Axis dance club.

“WEHOANS,” West Hollywood Mayor John Duran, announced on his Facebook timeline. “I am sad to report the passing of Mother Lode bartender Charles Kinsley. One of our Weho family member. RIP. 😞

Charles Kinsley recently celebrated a birthday on January 7. According to a WeHo Times source, he died of a heart attack.
