Hosting Guests This Holiday In LA

A lot of people are finally traveling again – and right in time for the holidays! Which, for many, is the most beautiful time of the year. As a resident of Los Angeles, you know all the cliche places to take your out-of-town guests when they’re here, but they’re usually visiting during the spring and summer months.

Looking for places to show guests this holiday season? Of course, you’ll be hanging out watching movies on Netflix with cups of hot cocoa during some evenings, but there is, of course, plenty more to do in our fabulous city during this time of year. Here are some things to put on your itineraries to be the host with the most.

For The Coffee Lovers, LA’s Got You

Everyone knows the Walk Of Fame, Rodeo Drive, and the famous studios. But what’s one thing that really brings people together where they can sit, chat and reconnect? Easy – getting a cup of coffee with one another. Thankfully, even though the holidays will be in the air, it will still be warm enough to enjoy a cold brew

If you have guests coming that are coffee lovers, there are plenty of amazing shops to visit in Los Angeles. But maybe they want to take a road trip to neighboring cities. If you and your guests decide to head to San Diego (which why wouldn’t you?), make sure you’re in the know about the best coffee shops in San Diego. There are so many charming spots to take advantage of, and some are even making a serious impact on the environment, which is incredible.

Disneyland Is A Must

Whether some of your visitors are young or just young at heart, Disneyland is a must for at least one day. After all, the holidays are all about making memories, so whether it’s their first time or seventh, Disneyland is a place no one gets sick of visiting. Of course, there is much more to do than rides and meeting the characters. So, take advantage of Disney being in your backyard and plan a trip there with your guests.

Santa’s North Pole At Wisdome LA

This Winter Wonderland fantasy is a new addition to downtown Los Angeles, so even if your guests have come before, it could be a first for them, and maybe you too! There’s a giant Grinch chair for fantastic photo ops and an adorable little elf village to explore. There’s a snow show, a craft room for the children visiting, and there’s even a ride! It’s a must in LA in December. Enjoy!

The Hollywood Christmas Parade

Iconic! Classic. If your guests are lucky enough to be visiting when the Hollywood Christmas Parade is going down, they’re in for a special treat. And even if you get to enjoy it every year, you already know that it’s just as fun as the first time each time you go. Who doesn’t love a glitzy, glittery parade? This tradition is one of tinsel town’s longest-running ones, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy about it.

LA Kings Holiday Ice At LA Live

The professional hockey team, LA Kings, does its annual outdoor ice skating rink in downtown LA. It’s a whole lot of fun for everyone. Even if you’ve got a Scrooge in your group, they’ll quickly crack a smile as they’re having the time of their lives skating around with the rest of your group. They even offer skating on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve, so if you’re looking to add on plans to those days, this is open and available for some serious holiday fun. Additionally, this is a great way to keep those holiday pounds off by staying physically active.

Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens lights up its grounds every year for a truly spectacular light show and experience. It’s genuinely magical exploring the grounds and really puts you in the holiday spirit. This internationally renowned garden located just north of downtown LA is literally transformed into a mystical experience. It’s a must-visit to bewilder all of you. Grab a hot chocolate and enjoy the grounds lit up in a way you’ve never experienced.

The most important thing about spending time with loved ones during the holiday season is creating lifelong memories, reconnecting, and reminding each other how grateful we are for their presence in our lives. So, enjoy your time, and hopefully, this list gives you some inspiration as you prepare to play holiday host. Cheers!
