Not Your Average Winter Wonderland Wedding

When most people think of winter, a chill runs through them, anticipating dreary, gloomy days filled with overcast and snow. Whereas you may think the winter wedding you always hoped to have would be ruined by the previously mentioned setting, think again! You can have both your dream wedding and sunshine without compromise.

Society is finally accepting people following their hearts instead of being forced to stick to traditionally accepted norms. For many years, members of the LGBTQ+ community could only dream of having a wedding. Finally, after fighting for so long, it’s possible. That makes planning the day even more special.

If there’s one thing you should not waver on, it’s having the wedding you always dreamed about having. This time around will (hopefully) be the last time you do this, and you want it to be perfect. For many of you, that means having your ceremony in the winter, but not in a lot of snow. Fortunately for you, there’s an ideal place to host it: California.

The Golden State is waiting for you, and there are infinite ways to have your big day with the perfect winter wedding flowers — without shivering!

Southern California

A great place to get married in the winter without worrying about the snow and ice is the beautiful city of La Jolla in SoCal. Temperatures during the winter months average between the mid-60s and low-70s. Cuvier Club is a popular venue for weddings because of its generous amenities and beachfront location. There are also beautiful public beaches. You might even be able to get married next to seals.

Think of how timeless your wedding pictures on the beach, with the lapping ocean in the background, will warm you even during the coldest winters of home.

If you are a princess looking for the perfect castle-like venue, be sure to look into Kimberly Crest House in Redlands, CA. The timeless Victorian mansion was built in 1897, and it overlooks 6 acres of gardens. It has the feel of a European destination without going any further than Southern Cali.

Lake Oak Meadows in Temecula is the type of venue fairytale weddings should take place. The winery boasts of its vast array of backdrops and tree-lined paths to the lake for the most unforgettable wedding pictures.

If you want a more indulgent wedding that has an air of whimsical charm, you have to consider Villa de Martini in Palm Springs. The luxurious private mansion is 14,000 square feet with architecture that will take your breath away. The lush gardens and extravagant poolside will make you and your guests feel like royalty.

Maybe you seek more of a tropical feel for your special day. Hartley Botanica in Somis is simply dreamy in every possible way. With your choice of garden backdrops, naturally arched tree trellises and enchanting greenery, this venue is sure to please.

Follow Your Heart

Your wedding day and how you choose to share it with your family and friends is as individual as you are. Instead of being concerned with how your guests will receive your venue, focus on how it personifies your individuality.

Since the day is all about celebrating you and your union to your life’s love, the venue should reflect the uniqueness that signifies who you are. Nothing will be more comfortable as a venue that makes you feel like it was made for you.

Feeling connected to the location where one of your happiest memories will come from is essential. Listen to your heart and go with someplace that will help the day you’ve always dreamed of being as perfect as you imagined.

From extravagant to understated elegance, you’re sure to find the venue of your dreams in SoCal.
