The Facts And Health Benefits Of Masturbation

We know about the pleasures associated with masturbation, but are there health benefits of masturbation related to it as well? Look, masturbation is the safest form of sexual activity available to us. Whether it’s preventative to sexually transmitted diseases or other illnesses, masturbation is a great way to release physical and mental tension.

Over the years, misguided parents, religion, and others have stigmatized masturbation. There are myths of too much masturbation leading to insanity, becoming insatiable, that it may be addictive, or cause blindness. There is little-to-no truth in these myths, but discuss any concerns you have with your doctor or a therapist if you are unsure.

The benefit of masturbation is the ability to cause an orgasm. When we orgasm, our brain releases a high number of endorphins, which is the hormone that regulates pain and elevates mood. These elevated endorphins occur whether they occur from sex or masturbation. It’s the orgasm that releases the endorphins, so how you get about it is entirely a matter of choice.

Physical And Mental Benefits Of Masturbation

In fact, masturbation has another added benefit. It helps you understand your body and what you like and dislike with sexual pleasure to better give and receive pleasure from a partner when the time is right. And by exploring what pleasures you, in turn, you become more comfortable with your body, which heightens your libido and increases your sexual pleasure.

Some of the main benefits of masturbation are:

  • Self-Pleasure
  • Lighten menstrual cramps and muscle tension
  • Release of endorphins to heighten mood and act as a pain inhibitor
  • Reduce physical and emotional stress
  • Improved self-image and body consciousness
  • Help identify any sexual identity concerns
  • Improved sleep
  • Strengthening of the pelvic muscles and around the anus

There are several ways to masturbate, from using your hands, having a partner help to various dildoes and other sex toys. Know that there are different types of orgasms, and understand how you masturbate is as essential as understanding the types of orgasms you may experience.

Four Main Types Of Orgasms

There are four main types of orgasms from clitoral, vaginal, anal, and combination. Additionally, you may experience an orgasm from other erogenous zones that may come from teasing, pinching, squeezing, or tugging at the nipples and other sensitive areas of your body during solo play.

Vaginal Orgasm

A vaginal orgasm is caused by penetration, whether by fingers, sex toys, or other items that create a sense of deep pleasure and release deep within the body, causing throbbing vaginal walls to occur during orgasm.

Clitoral Orgasm

A clitoral orgasm is reached by teasing and stimulating the clitoris, whether by fingers, sex toys and dildoes, and other items. The sensation can be intense, and a tingling feeling through the skin and brain are typical experiences.

Anal Orgasm

Use of fingers in and around the anus or using a sex toy for deeper penetration can create a spasm in the anus and a sensation of needing to urinate before release.

Combination Orgasm

A combo orgasm is achieved by stimulating both the vagina and clitoris. The deeper vaginal penetration, especially the “G-Spot” combined with the clitoris, can help achieve overwhelming sensations cases even lead to ejaculation during release.

The Best Sex Toy

A good sex toy to assist with a combination orgasm is the rabbit vibrator. Whether you’re purchasing one for yourself or as a gift for a partner, a sex toy is a great gift to consider, and the best toy to consider is the rabbit vibrator.

What is it about the rabbit vibrator that is so popular and has kept it around for almost 40 years? The ability to focus on multiple points of stimulation on your body is the most extraordinary sensation.

Created by Vibratex in 1983, the rabbit vibrator, also known as the Jessica rabbit or jack rabbit vibrator, is designed with a phallic shaft for vaginal stimulation while a clitoral stimulator, resembling the two ears of a rabbit, curl upward to isolate the clitoris.

To understand how to use a rabbit vibrator, think about having fingers, a phallus, or other penetration to the vagina while simultaneously having fingers or other small stimulants tease, vibrate, and rub around the clitoris leading to an explosive combination orgasm. As with any sex toy, it’s recommended to use some lubricant to get started, though it’s not entirely mandatory but is one of personal choice and based on individual need.
