Long Beach Pride Breaks Free on May 17–18 with Expanded Festival and Star-Studded Lineup

42nd Annual Celebration to Feature Live Music, Drag Shows, and Cultural Showcases

Long Beach Pride™ will officially usher in the 2025 Pride season with the return of its iconic festival on May 17–18, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of music, celebration, and LGBTQ+ solidarity. Now in its 42nd year, the festival is embracing the theme “The Power of Community”—a tribute to the strength, diversity, and resilience of the LGBTQ+ family.

The weekend-long event promises a packed schedule of performances, cultural showcases, and immersive experiences designed to unite and uplift attendees of all ages. From live music and drag shows to art installations and wellness zones, Long Beach Pride continues to be one of the most dynamic and inclusive Pride celebrations on the West Coast.

The entertainment lineup spans a wide range of genres and styles:

  • HYM the Rapper, Tori Kay, and Tiancho bring live music from hip-hop to Latinx alt-pop
  • George Michael Reborn Tribute and Radio Royalty provide nostalgic performances
  • Drag Show Extravaganza and Ballroom Dance-Off showcase queer artistry and culture
  • DJ sets from Icy Ice, DJ 360, BSelecta, and MegaWoof will keep crowds dancing
  • Galactivation Station returns with a glowing EDM dome hosted by America’s Got Talent’s Galactivators

Specialty areas like Queer Country, Teen Pride, TransVisibility, and The Fairies’ Dance Area will create safe and celebratory spaces for various parts of the LGBTQ+ community.

Food and beverage offerings will include curated bar spaces and food trucks, while the Health Hub and Recovery Spaces ensure resources and support are available for all.

Long Beach Pride™ will also recognize a diverse slate of Grand Marshals whose work reflects this year’s theme:

  • Cindy Allen, Councilwoman, as the Morris Kight Political Grand Marshal
  • Carolyn Caldwell, hospital executive, as Community Bridge Building Grand Marshal
  • Jennifer Kumiyama, disability rights activist, as Celebrity Grand Marshal
  • Debra Kahookele, Josie Quiros, Rocio, and Isa Rached as Marilyn Barlow Grand Marshals (honoring Isa Rached posthumously)
  • Pastor Tony Carreras from Christ Chapel Long Beach is the Judith Doyle Grand Marshal
  • Alex Malleis-Sternberg, representing youth leadership
  • Annabelle Sedano (NBC4) and Enrique Chiabra (Telemundo 52) as Media Grand Marshals

NBC4 and Telemundo 52 will return as official media partners for a third consecutive year, offering live coverage via their websites, mobile apps, and 24/7 streaming channels. NBCUniversal journalists and members of the company’s OUT employee resource group will also march in the parade.

The festival grounds will include multiple stages, interactive zones, and information booths from local organizations and LGBTQ+ vendors. Events kick off at Marina Green Park and throughout downtown Long Beach.
