Caught on Camera: Intoxicated Suspects Punch Restaurant’s Property
The front window at the Queen Violet restaurant was shattered late last Thursday night in what staff described as an act of late-night vandalism. Surveillance footage captured two intoxicated individuals damaging the storefront around 11 p.m., according to a statement from the restaurant.
The restaurant posted their camera footage to their Instagram account on Friday:

The footage shows the suspects tampering with potted plants outside the restaurant before one of them punched through the glass window, in an act that the restaurant described as being “just for fun.” No injuries were reported during the incident.
While the motive remains unclear, the restaurant said it is now focused on repairing the damage and resuming regular operations. Queen Violet staff expressed gratitude to their neighbors who witnessed the act and promptly contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The restaurant asked anyone who might have any information about the vandalism to message them.
