Melrose Triangle Project Team Will Update Residents on Construction Plans
The team behind the Melrose Triangle development will hold a series of informational community meetings to update residents and business owners on upcoming construction activities at the project site.
In coordination with the City of West Hollywood, the project team aims to secure the area for pedestrians and neighbors by filling a large excavation hole left from previous site work. The process is expected to take between six and nine months, depending on weather conditions and the availability of fill materials.
Much concern was raised by residents of West Hollywood about stagnant water from the stalled construction at the site in July of last year, and news recently broke that the project’s entitlements had expired. City Council members learned of this at the latest council meeting, and the project management has not proposed any new plans for the site.
According to media reports, filling in the hole that was dubbed “Lake WeHo” might require 27k dump truck loads. According to the Melrose Triangle project’s website, these meetings will provide ongoing updates and address any concerns regarding construction activity.
Community members are invited to participate in the virtual meetings scheduled for:
- Wednesday, February 26 at 10 a.m., 3 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
