The City of West Hollywood’s 2025 Winter Sounds Indoor Concert Series is set to return, offering free live music performances on select Saturday evenings. The concerts will be held at The Sun Rose at Pendry West Hollywood, 8430 Sunset Boulevard, beginning at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. Early arrival is recommended.

MAE.SUN, also known as Hailey Niswanger, is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer celebrated for her immersive and meditative sonic creations. A Berklee College of Music graduate, she has earned recognition on DownBeat Magazine’s Rising Star saxophone list for 11 consecutive years. Her collaborations span an impressive range of artists, including Esperanza Spalding, Beyoncé, and Incubus. She has also contributed to Grammy-winning albums like Terri Lyne Carrington’s The Mosaic Project and Beyoncé’s Black Parade.
Joining MAE.SUN is Gengis Don, a Brooklyn-based drummer, producer, and songwriter known for blending jazz, hip-hop, and improvisational music. His innovative style has led to collaborations with artists such as Solange, Bilal, ASAP Ferg, and Georgia Anne Muldrow.

Chien Chien Lu, a vibraphonist, percussionist, and composer, brings a unique voice to contemporary jazz, drawing on her Taiwanese heritage and classical training. Named one of the “10 Emerging Jazz Artists of 2023” by the Recording Academy and a “Rising Star” vibraphonist by DownBeat Magazine, Lu is known for her groove-driven rhythms and innovative compositions. She is a member of the Jeremy Pelt Quintet and holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies.
Saxophonist Danny Janklow blends jazz with R&B, funk, and indie soul, delivering performances that emphasize themes of equality, justice, and love. A Grammy winner for his contribution to MONK’estra Plays John Beasley, Janklow has collaborated on notable hip-hop tracks and performed alongside legends such as Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock.
