City’s Annual Ceremony Will Feature National Anthem by Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles
The City of West Hollywood will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11:00 a.m., to honor veterans and active members of the United States Armed Forces.
The ceremony, which will take place in person at the Sal Guarriello Veterans’ Memorial on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Holloway Drive, will feature wreaths and American flags to commemorate service members.
This year, the ceremony will honor all veterans while placing special emphasis on LGBTQ service members. The event will include a performance of the National Anthem by members of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, the Pledge of Allegiance, a bugler playing Taps, and a moment of silence.
Community members are encouraged to attend and pay their respects. For more details, contact the City’s Recreation Services Division at (323) 848-6534 or via email at recreation@weho.org. For those who are Deaf or hard of hearing, TTY assistance is available at (323) 848-6496.
