Suspect Charged in Fatal Assault in 7-Eleven Parking Lot
Ramon Casas has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal assault of a man in a 7-Eleven parking lot in West Hollywood, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today.
Ramon Casas, 48, has been charged with one count of murder in the case. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on August 8. A preliminary hearing is set for September 19 in Department 31 of the Airport Courthouse.
The incident occurred on August 6 at approximately 12:43 p.m., when Casas allegedly attacked Armando Cerqueda Gabriel in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven on Santa Monica Boulevard following an apparent road rage altercation.
Casas remains in custody on $2 million bail. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in state prison.

This tragic and senseless act of violence is a sobering reminder of how swiftly lives can be shattered in a single moment.
