The city will host a variety of events, including block parties, barbecues, and live entertainment, across different neighborhoods. The events are free and open to the public.

The festivities will result in limited street closures from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on August 6. A full list of events, including times and locations, can be found on the City of West Hollywood’s website at www.weho.org/nno. Key events include:

  • West Hollywood West Resident Association: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sherbourne Drive and Ashcroft Avenue

This year marks the 41st Annual National Night Out, which started in 1984 to encourage participation in crime prevention activities, foster law enforcement-community partnerships, and build neighborhood camaraderie. The event serves as a powerful reminder to criminals that neighborhoods are united against crime.

Nationally, more than 35 million people participate in National Night Out events, celebrating their efforts in crime prevention and community building. West Hollywood has been a proud participant in this tradition since the city’s incorporation.

The 2024 National Night Out in West Hollywood will feature involvement from the West Hollywood City Council, various Neighborhood Watch groups, the West Hollywood Gateway, the Public Safety Commission, the Russian-Speaking Advisory Board, and the city’s Recreation Services Division. The events are organized in partnership with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and the City of West Hollywood.
