West Hollywood to Host Community Meeting for WeHo 40 Strategic Plan

Event Invites Community Feedback, Has Performances and Exhibits

The City of West Hollywood will hold a community meeting on Saturday, July 20, 2024, to gather feedback for its upcoming citywide strategic plan, WeHo 40. The free event, featuring informational exhibits, community organizations, food, and live entertainment, will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Doheny Room at the West Hollywood Aquatic & Recreation Center at 8750 El Tovar Place.

Community members are invited to stop by any time during the meeting to learn about the WeHo 40 project, provide feedback, and connect with fellow residents. Translation services will be available in Spanish and Russian; advance RSVP is not required.

This meeting is the third in a series of events designed to gather community input for WeHo 40. Attendees can preview draft elements of the strategic plan, share their experiences and ideas, and participate in small group discussions facilitated by project team members. The event will also feature culturally diverse activities and performances, including a dance performance by Conga Kids and a special art interactive activity by Arts Bridging the Gap.

A small business market will be part of the event, with applications open to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and minority-owned businesses. There is no fee to participate, and applications will be accepted through Friday, July 12, 2024.

DJ Chinua will provide music, and food will be available from Angel City Catering.

WeHo 40 aims to create an inclusive and equitable roadmap for West Hollywood’s future, building on the city’s past strategic plans.
