Drake’s Beverly Hills Mansion Hits Market for $88 Million Amidst Rap Beef Drama

Speculation Arises Over Connection Between Feud and Real Estate Moves

Does the rap beef between Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar and Drake have something to do with real estate? No one can say for sure, but Drake has suddenly relisted his mansion in Beverly Hills, putting the estate for sale for $88 million.

The Internet was gripped by the rappers trading barbs through a series of songs that were released during a week of intense battles of words. While tensions had been simmering, the poetry fight didn’t explode into the public eye until March 22, when Lamar had a featured verse on Future’s “Like That”, when Lamar directly addressed Drake. The Canadian rapper didn’t respond until April 19, when he released “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

Drake was forced to delete “Taylor Made Freestyle” because of his use of an AI-generated voice by Tupac Shakur’s estate. On April 30, Lamar responded with two more songs, “euphoria” and “6:16 in LA.” The next response from Drake was “Family Matters” which went after Lamar’s family, and Lamar responded within an hour with the scathing song “Meet the Grahams” and another salvo, “Not Like Us” within 24 hours. Those songs specifically addressed every member of Drake, aka Aubry Graham’s family, and made serious allegations of criminal behavior on Drake’s part.

Most people watching the beef believed that Lamar had won the battle and even though Drake released one more song, “The Heart Part 6”, the mockery that Drake was being subjected to online and in real life, especially after producer Metro Boomin released an incredibly catchy track, “BBL Drizzy,” and invited people to rap over it to win a prize. The track got responses from all over the world, in different languages, and even a steel drum rendition.

Late last week, Drake put his Beverly Hills mansion up for sale, before the first report of a shooting at his estate in Toronto, called The Embassy, but soon enough after he was judged to have lost the battle. Since then, two more intruders have been found by the rapper’s security detail at his Toronto home. On the Google map of Drake’s Beverly Hills property, someone left a tag with a derogatory name.

Kendrick Lamar’s hometown is Los Angeles, he is from Compton, so it might be that staying in Los Angeles is no longer something that Drake wants to do.

The description of the home is lavish and it says, “Nestled behind a long private gated drive, this exquisite celebrity compound sits on nearly three-level acres boasting unrivaled privacy and security, just moments from the Beverly Hills Hotel. Designed by the renowned KAA Associates, this sprawling property spans approx. 25,000 SF of living space, perfectly suited for grand-scale entertaining and showcasing world-class art collections. Stunning canyon, city, and ocean views serve as a breathtaking backdrop to all main rooms, each of which is thoughtfully oriented towards approx. 20 acres of lush gardens and grounds. The main house features 7 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen with breakfast room, a library, and 2 family rooms – 1 of which doubles as a professional screening room. Additional 3 ensuite bedrooms for staff. The latest and greatest amenities include a garage for 11 cars, an elevator, a wine cellar, a gym, and a game room. A pool/guest house with a mosaic-tiled pool and indoor/outdoor kitchen, as well as a hidden tennis court and orchard, complete this estate.
