The City’s Glamorous Storytime Spectacle Returns
The City of West Hollywood invites families to the 2024 season opener of Drag Story Hour on Saturday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. The event, held at the West Hollywood Library Community Meeting Room (625 N. San Vicente Boulevard), will showcase drag performer Miss Barbie-Q. Admission is free, and RSVPs are not required.
Drag Story Hour, a recurring series of Saturday morning storytelling sessions by drag performers, caters to children of all ages. The City of West Hollywood collaborates with the West Hollywood Library to create an inclusive and welcoming space for families, promoting the values of diversity, acceptance, and self-expression.
The 2024 Drag Story Hour season will continue with events scheduled for Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. on the following dates: April 13, June 29, August 10, October 5, and December 7. For updates, refer to the LA County Public Library calendar of events.
Established in San Francisco in 2015 by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions, Drag Story Hour received City of West Hollywood funding in 2017. The West Hollywood Drag Story Hour series is produced by Pickle the Drag Queen, the recently appointed Drag Laureate, making history as one of only two Drag Laureates in the United States.
