By Dolores Quintana

Don’t miss out on an unforgettable Halloween experience with the most spectacular Broadway event of the year. Jay Armstrong Johnson, known for his role in “Parade,” presents his annual Halloween concert and party, “I Put a Spell on You: The Witches Era.” Produced by Johnson and Kampfire Films, this thrilling event will be available for streaming on Broadway On Demand, starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, October 28, 2023, and will remain accessible for the next four days.

Tickets for the Broadway On Demand stream are priced at $35 and can be purchased at BroadwayOnDemand.com.

This extraordinary gathering is more than just entertainment; it’s also an opportunity to make a difference. The live event and on-demand stream will benefit the Ali Forney Center (AFC), a comprehensive organization dedicated to safeguarding LGBTQ+ youth from the perils of homelessness.

Returning to the stage as Winifred Sanderson is Jay Armstrong Johnson, accompanied by Allison Godleski and Amanda Williams Ware as sisters Sarah and Mary. The star-studded lineup includes Tony Award Nominee Justin Cooley, DeMarius Copes, Drew Gehling, Tony Award Nominee Robyn Hurder, recording artist Mila Jam, Karma Jenkins, Zachary Daniel Jones, reigning SIX Queen Taylor Iman Jones, Ashlyn Maddox, Tiffany Mann, RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15’s Marcia Marcia Marcia, Tomás Matos, Maddox Martin, Julia Mattison, Jake Pedersen, Meghan Picerno, Kathryn Priest, Ryann Redmond, Benji Rivera, Heath Saunders, Talia Suskauer, Jackson Teeley, and Connor Lyon as the understudy.

For a Halloween celebration like no other, secure your tickets now. Don’t miss out on this bewitching extravaganza that promises both live and online audiences an enchanting experience while supporting a noble cause.

The Ali Forney Center (AFC) is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive organization dedicated to protecting LGBTQ youth from the harms of homelessness. Each year, AFC sees over 2,000 young people who are kicked out of their homes due to homophobia and transphobia. 90% of the young people we see state religious beliefs as the leading cause of their homelessness. A staggering 95% of our clients are individuals of color, largely comprised of Black and Latino communities. Nearly half of these young people come to NYC from across the country, mainly the south, fleeing homophobic homes and communities. Due to the current political climate, we have experienced a 20% increase in the number of youth fleeing their homes from these states.
