The Eight Best Places To Propose In LA

Deciding you’re ready to spend the rest of your life with your partner is an exhilarating feeling. On the one hand, you’re thrilled and full of joyful hope as you finally meet the one that makes you want to settle down; on the other hand, it’s downright nerve-wracking to figure out how to get over the knot in your stomach about asking one of the most important questions you’ll ever ask.

And, to top it all off, you have to decide when and where to break out that beautiful ring. After all, the two of you spent hours window shopping for white gold engagement rings, but you’re sure you picked the perfect one. Let’s take a look at some of the best places to propose in Los Angeles to make part of your proposal decision-making a little easier.

Echo Park

What’s more romantic than taking a nighttime ride on one of the Echo Park swan boats? Whether you opt for daytime to get the perfect picture with the lush greenery surrounding you or go for a more intimate evening approach, this is a great location. Not to mention in the evening, the swan’s illumination gives a truly dreamy feel to the whole experience.

The Korean Bell Of Friendship

With its majestic sea views and the ornate structure itself, the Korean Bell of Friendship is an ideal spot to pop the question. While this site is historical in itself, it’s a great place to create your own history with you and your partner. On top of that, the best relationships begin as friendships so that you can tie that into your proposal.

Huntington Garden

Huntington Garden is open year-round, which means even if you’re proposing in the middle of December, the grounds here make a gorgeous spot to ask your love to spend the rest of their life with you. You could make an easy surprise out of this location by spending the day at the Huntington Library, Art Museum and then touring the gardens. You decide the perfect time to get down on one knee.

Mulholland Drive

This iconic drive offers some of the best and most famous views in all of California. If you’ve got a convertible or vintage coupe, make a classic proposal out of taking a gorgeous drive. Spend the time together telling your partner all the reasons you love them and then ask them to grab something out of the glove box for you — have the ring box waiting inside!

Griffith Observatory

Is your fate written in the stars? Do you feel like you’re star-crossed lovers? This LA landmark is the perfect spot for an evening proposal, all cheesiness aside. Griffith Observatory is iconic and rich in history, not to mention a dreamy place to come back to and remember the time you two promised to spend forever together.

Santa Monica Pier

Not every proposal needs you to pay an entry fee to enjoy the backdrop. Santa Monica Pier is just the place to keep things casual and memorable. The views are phenomenal, and the location is convenient. Sure, this place may be swarmed with tourists, but there’s a reason why. It’s beautiful! Since you’re local, you know the best times to avoid swarms of people, or maybe you want everyone around while you profess your undying love. Either way, the pier is the perfect spot for an impromptu or planned proposal.

Dodger Stadium

Did you really knock it out of the park landing your sweetheart? If the two of you are athletic or Dodgers fans, this is the perfect spot for a proposal. Get tickets to a game and make it a surprise. Who knows, you may even end up on the stadium camera as they scream, “Yes!”

Chateau Marmont

It may seem cliche to pick this iconic restaurant as the place to propose as many, many others have asked the big question there before you — but come on, it’s Chateau Marmont! If you and your partner are foodies or just love dressing up for a fancy brunch, this is an incredibly romantic place to ask the biggest question of your life.

Getting married is a pivotal moment in everyone’s life. Committing yourself to honor and protect another human being for the rest of your life is enormous. Let this list be your guide to where you want to ask your forever love to stay that way, and many congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
