Style Deals to Take Advantage of Now

With Summer nearly behind us, we’re starting to focus more on packing healthy lunches, getting our children to bed on time, and budgeting for the upcoming holiday’s expenses. With all that in mind, it’s also a good idea to take advantage of some serious deals when it comes to fashion so next summer you’ll be ready to travel confidently no matter where you’re headed. It’s nice to be prepared and still have your pockets padded from all the money you’ll save shopping off-season. So, let’s look at the areas where you can save the most while shopping during the Fall and Winter.

Swimwear for Everyone!

The best time to shop for swimwear for the whole family is once the weather has started cooling down. You may be nervous about buying this kind of thing for children that are still growing, but once they’re mid toddlerhood, you have a pretty good idea of the rate at which your children grow and can probably make a good guess at what size they’ll be wearing a year from now. So take the leap and buy their swimsuits or trunks in which size they’ll be next year. Don’t forget essential things like UV protective rash guards if you plan on spending a lot of time at the beach and buy a new sexy black bikini for yourself while you’re at it! You can save up to 50-80% off the cost of swimwear shopping in the off-season, which leaves more money for grander trips or more souvenirs for the kiddos!

Fancy Footwork

You’ll be feeling not only fancy but free too if you take advantage of buying next spring and summer’s shoes for you and the entire family right now. While you and your partner’s shoe size will be the same, it’s easy to get what you’ll need at a high cost. When it comes to your children, it’s a little trickier, of course. Consider shopping from companies that you know have generous return policies and that you’re used to shopping with. Additionally, you could buy a whole size up instead of just a half size for your little ones. Some parents go as far as consulting with their pediatrician with how much growth can be expected in their children’s feet over the next six months or so. But, mama knows best, as we all know, so buy with confidence. Taking this approach leaves you with plenty of money left over to pad those Christmas stockings a little more with fun add ons for the kids or maybe purchase those bigger ticket items they’ve been begging for. So Fall and Winter are the time to buy your water shoes, flip flops, slides, and sandals. It’s also an easy way for you to make extra cash to sell your items that you and your family no longer need or have outgrown.

Light Layering Clothing

Purchasing shorts, summer dresses, tanks, and tees at a great price is accessible during the cooler months. First, check with what your family already owns and if things can be handed down, then go from there. If you need more items from any of these categories it is easy from virtually every retailer from big box to local at a great price during Fall and Winter. If you’re shopping for yourself and want to save some serious cash, consider going second-hand either in person or on one of the many online selling platforms, where you can save even more money. Apps like Poshmark, Depop, or eBay are excellent places to start and can save you a ton of money.  Many sellers on their websites even offer discounts when you’re purchasing several items from them at one time, so make sure to read the fine print on their online shop.

Score Big on Travel Accessories

You don’t have to limit yourself to shoes and clothing when trying to shop budget-friendly in the offseason. Take advantage of significant deals regarding things like surfboards, boogie boards, beach tents, and everything in between. Even bubble machines or floaties and life vests for the kids are at steep discounts when you’re shopping for Fall and Winter sales. If you know you and your family enjoy and plan on a lot of summer fun, now is the time to take advantage of retailers trying to clear out their inventory.

No matter what time of year it is, it’s always a good idea and a fun thing to save money. The thrill of a deal is a real phenomenon. Take advantage of these tips and plan to have more money to set aside for emergency funds, college funds, or “fun” funds. Happy Shopping!
