Detectives Probe Deadly Shooting Near Sawtelle, Brentwood Border
Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide Division are investigating the shooting death of a Granada Hills man found inside a vehicle Friday night in a West Los Angeles parking garage.
Officers responded around 10:17 p.m. on Sept. 5, 2025, to a report of a man down inside a parked car on the 12100 block of Wilshire Boulevard, police said. When they arrived, they discovered 43-year-old Greg Mkrchyan suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The building is located close to the border of the Sawtelle and Brentwood districts and Santa Monica, and is the third report of a man being shot in the same general area of West Los Angeles in the last week.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced Mkrchyan dead at the scene.
Investigators have not released information about a possible suspect or motive.
