Watch the Trailer for the Second Film in Coen and Tricia Cooke’s Lesbian B-Movie Trilogy
Ethan Coen’s latest directorial effort, Honey Don’t!, will open in theaters across the U.S. on August 22 from Focus Features. The dark comedy is set to make its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 24.
Described as the second installment in Coen and co-writer Tricia Cooke’s “lesbian B-movie trilogy,” Honey Don’t! follows their 2024 film Drive-Away Dolls. The film stars Margaret Qualley as Honey O’Donahue, a private investigator from a small town who becomes entangled in a string of suspicious deaths connected to a shadowy church. Qualley was last seen in the smash hit body horror comedy, The Substance.
The cast also includes Aubrey Plaza, Charlie Day, Billy Eichner, and Chris Evans. Coen directed the film from a script he co-wrote with Cooke, who also serves as a producer alongside Robert Graf, Tim Bevan, and Eric Fellner.
