Support for the Arts: WeHo Opens Applications for 2026 Cultural Grants

City Expands Arts Funding With New Filmmaker Category 

The City of West Hollywood is now accepting applications for its 2026 Arts Grant Program, offering funding opportunities to local artists, collectives, and nonprofit arts organizations for projects that engage and serve the community.

The city will host two virtual information sessions via Zoom to guide applicants through eligibility requirements and the application process. The workshops are scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, and Wednesday, May 28, at 1:00 p.m. City officials strongly encourage first-time applicants and organizations with new personnel to attend.

Administered by the City’s Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission for the past 28 years, the Arts Grant Program supports artistic endeavors in West Hollywood or benefits its residents.

Grant categories currently open for application include:

  • Arts Project Grant – Up to $20,000 (over two years) for nonprofit organizations producing performances or exhibits such as dance, film, music, or theater in West Hollywood. Deadline: July 1, 2025.
  • Community Arts Grant – Up to $6,000 for individuals or organizations promoting the work of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and/or female artists. Deadline: July 1, 2025.
  • Filmmakers Grant (New for 2026) – Up to $10,000 to support the completion of films already in post-production. Up to four awards will be made. Deadline: July 1, 2025.
  • TGI+ Arts Grant – Up to $6,500 for artists and nonprofits working with transgender, gender diverse, and intersex communities. Deadline: July 1, 2025.
  • WeHo Artist Grant – $6,000 annual grant for five local artists to support long-term project development. Applicants must reside in West Hollywood. Deadline: July 1, 2025.
