Los Angeles Marathon Returns: Road Closures and Route Details for West Hollywood

Thousands of Runners Will Pass Through West Hollywood on March 16

The 40th Anniversary of the Los Angeles Marathon Presented by ASICS will take place on Sunday, March 16, 2025, with thousands of runners making their way through West Hollywood as part of the 26.2-mile “Stadium to the Stars” course.

The race, which begins at Dodger Stadium and ends at Century Park in Century City, follows a familiar route through West Hollywood, marking miles 14 to 15 of the marathon.

Runners will enter West Hollywood from Los Angeles along Sunset Boulevard at Marmont Lane before turning south onto N. San Vicente Boulevard. The route continues west onto Santa Monica Boulevard, then turns south onto N. Doheny Drive, where participants exit into Beverly Hills.

To ensure the safety of runners and spectators, several street closures will be in effect from 4:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on race day:

  • Sunset Boulevard (between Marmont Lane and Clark Street/N. San Vicente Boulevard)
  • N. San Vicente Boulevard (between Sunset Boulevard and Melrose Avenue)
  • Santa Monica Boulevard (between La Cienega Boulevard and N. Doheny Drive)
  • N. Doheny Drive (between Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Boulevard)

Parking will be strictly prohibited along the race route, and vehicles in violation will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. “No Parking” signs will be posted in advance of the event.

For alternative parking options in West Hollywood, spectators and residents can visit the City of West Hollywood’s website for a directory of municipal parking structures, lots, and their operating hours. With major roads closed, community members are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation, taxis, or rideshare services.
