Star-Studded Event Will Feature The Last of Us Part II Cast Reunion & Powerful LGBTQ Tributes
GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, has unveiled the star-studded guest list for the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, set to take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025. The event, celebrating fair and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people in media, will also feature a special onstage reunion of “The Last of Us Part II” stars Ashley Johnson and Shannon Woodward as they present the award for Outstanding Video Game.
The red carpet arrivals will be livestreamed by popular Twitch streamer and content creator AustinShow, giving fans a front-row view of the action.
For the fifth consecutive year, Hulu will serve as the official streaming platform, premiering a special presentation of the ceremony beginning April 12.
Hosted by Michael Urie, this year’s event will bring together LGBTQ advocates, allies, and Hollywood’s brightest stars, including:

Additional attendees include cast members from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Heather Dubrow (The Real Housewives of Orange County), Jaymes Vaughan (The Real Friends of WeHo), and many more, with further celebrity appearances to be announced.
As previously announced, Cynthia Erivo will be honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to increasing LGBTQ visibility and acceptance.
The official GLAAD Media Awards Los Angeles Afterparty, presented by Hyundai Motor America, will feature a live performance by GRAMMY-nominated R&B singer Durand Bernarr. Bernarr, also nominated for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist, has collaborated with industry giants such as Erykah Badu, Kaytranada, Anderson. Paak, and The Internet. His latest album, BLOOM, marks a new chapter in his genre-defying career.
Since its inception in 1990, the GLAAD Media Awards have grown into the most visible LGBTQ awards event in the world, honoring groundbreaking media across film, television, music, journalism, theater, and digital platforms.
This year’s nominees include nearly 303 media projects across 33 categories, recognizing the powerful role of storytelling in shaping cultural acceptance and advocacy for the LGBTQ community.
