West Hollywood Hiring for Summer Recreation Jobs, Applications Open Now

Recreation Services Team Seeks Seasonal Roles in Aquatics, Camps, More

Even though there’s still a chill in the air, the City of West Hollywood is recruiting for its annual summer temporary employment program within the Recreation Services Division, offering opportunities for individuals interested in supporting recreation and aquatic programs, events, and services.

The city is seeking applicants for several temporary positions at the West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation Center and Plummer Park Community Center, including:

  • Temporary Recreation Leader I
  • Temporary Recreation Aide (Camp)
  • Temporary Lifeguard
  • Temporary Aquatics Aide

City officials highlight benefits such as flexible schedules, a creative and engaging work environment, and paid on-the-job training. You have until Friday, February 21, to apply.

Applicants for the Temporary Recreation Leader I and Temporary Recreation Aide (Camp) positions will be required to participate in a group activity assessment and interview on Saturday, March 15, 2025. The assessment will evaluate teamwork, leadership, and creativity through individual interviews and group activities.

Candidates applying for the Temporary Lifeguard role must undergo an interview with recreation leadership, a water skills assessment, and a swim proficiency test. Those seeking the Temporary Aquatics Aide position will also be interviewed by the recreation leadership team. These interviews and swim tests are scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025; Thursday, April 10, 2025; and Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Interested applicants can find more details and submit applications at www.weho.org/jobs.

For additional information, contact Recreation Coordinator Destiny Nieto at (323) 848-6497 or via email at recreation@weho.org. For those who are Deaf or hard of hearing, assistance is available through California Relay Service at 711, 1-800-735-2929 (TTY), or 1-800-735-2922 (voice).
