West Hollywood Brings Winter Magic to January with Ice Skating, Festivities, and More

Experience an Ice Rink, Winter Wonderland, and a Polar Plunge Pool Party in Weho

Despite Southern California’s reputation for sunshine, the City of West Hollywood is bringing winter cheer with a series of festive events throughout January. Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean that winter fun is done.

For the first time, West Hollywood Park will host an ice rink on the Great Lawn at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard. The rink will be open daily from January 10 through January 26, offering 90-minute skating sessions:

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Fridays: 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 12:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for ages 3–14 and $20 for ages 15 and older, with skate rentals included. Visitors can also enjoy the Winter Village, featuring skate viewing areas, photo opportunities, and a general store. Special pop-up theme nights are planned throughout the season. For details and tickets, visit go.weho.org/icerink.

On January 25, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., West Hollywood Park’s South Lawn will transform into a Winter Wonderland. The free event will feature crafts, music, games, hot chocolate, and festive treats for families and residents to enjoy.

The month concludes with a Polar Plunge Pool Party at the West Hollywood Aquatic and Recreation Center, 8750 El Tovar Place, on January 26, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Activities will include games, giveaways, arts and crafts, and warm beverages. Heated pool activities will be available for all ages; attendees should bring swimsuits and towels. Registration is free and available online at West Hollywood’s activity portal.

For more information on these winter events, contact Clavon Jubrey, Recreation Supervisor, at (323) 848-6535 or cjubrey@weho.org. Assistance for individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing is available via California Relay Service by dialing 711.
