West Hollywood to Temporarily Close Plummer Park’s North Parking Lot for Maintenance

Slurry Seal Asphalt Project to Begin Tuesday, South Parking Lot To Remain Open

The City of West Hollywood will begin a slurry seal asphalt project at Plummer Park’s North Parking Lot, located at 7377 Santa Monica Blvd., starting Tuesday, Dec. 10. The parking lot will be closed during construction and is expected to reopen Sunday, Dec. 15, city officials announced.

Visitors to Plummer Park and attendees of events and meetings are advised to plan accordingly. However, the Helen Albert Certified Farmers’ Market will not be affected by the construction.

To prepare regular visitors for the closure, city staff will place a digital message board in the parking lot area on Monday, Dec. 2. Temporary “No Parking” signs will also be installed.

City officials acknowledged the potential inconvenience but noted the project was scheduled during a less impacted period to minimize disruption. The South Parking Lot, accessible from Santa Monica Boulevard, will remain open for park visitors.

For additional information, residents can contact Brian Jackson, West Hollywood’s street maintenance supervisor, at (323) 848-6879 or bjackson@weho.org. Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals may use California Relay Service at 711 or 1-800-735-2929 (TTY).
