Reconnect with the Season’s Spirit with Sound Healing and Persian Traditions at La Peer Hotel

Experience a Transformative Evening of Relaxation and Culinary Delights

The La Peer Hotel invites guests to mark the Winter Solstice with a transformative evening of sound healing and cultural exploration on Dec. 21. The event will feature award-winning sound healer Roxie Sound Healing, known for her deeply relaxing and transcendent sessions. You can reserve your ticket on Eventbrite

The celebration will combine sound healing and storytelling, honoring the longest night of the year with a nod to Persian traditions surrounding the Winter Solstice, also known as Yalda. Attendees can enjoy a mini table display featuring symbolic items such as nuts, pomegranates, and winter fruits while delving into the mysticism and poetry of Hafez in a cozy communal setting.

  • Sound Healing Experience: Guests will be guided through a 70-minute sound healing session designed to rejuvenate the spirit, incorporating soothing vibrations and poetic reflections. Roxie’s approach blends ancient practices with modern techniques, creating an accessible yet profound journey.
  • Cultural Significance: The event highlights Yalda’s importance in Persian culture, fostering a deeper connection to the season’s beauty.
  • Preparation: Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, water, and any other items to ensure comfort. Crystals or eye masks are welcome for those wishing to enhance their experience.
  • Tea Reception: Complimentary tea will be available in the hotel lobby from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The sound healing session begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Following the session, guests can savor a Persian-inspired dish created by Top Chef Middle East champion Charbel Hayek at Ladyhawk, the hotel’s restaurant. Reservations are required for this Eastern Mediterranean dining experience through Ladyhawke

Valet parking is available for a discounted rate of $15, or metered parking nearby. Guests are advised to arrive early to allow ample time for check-in and settling in. Due to the nature of the event, late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Roxie, recognized as “Best Sound Healing” by Angeleno Magazine, is a celebrated practitioner known for weaving poetry by Rumi and Hafez into her sessions. Her work has been featured in outlets such as the Los Angeles Times and Real Simple. Roxie’s sound healing experiences have graced luxury venues, galleries, and wellness spaces, creating unique and memorable events for her participants.

The Winter Solstice celebration offers a chance to relax, reflect, and embrace the season in the serene setting of the La Peer Hotel, designed by Gulla Jónsdóttir. Spaces are limited, so early reservations are encouraged.
