Drag Performances, Karaoke Take Center Stage at the Los Angeles LGBT Center
The Los Angeles LGBT Center and Coin & Ghost, known for reimagining mythologies on stage, are set to host a dazzling evening of drag and karaoke at the Village at Ed Gould Plaza on Friday, December 13.
The event, titled Queer Magic Drag Karaoke Kingdom, promises a night of animated fun and fierce performances. Guests will enjoy a two-part program: the first act features curated drag performances inspired by beloved animated characters, while the second act invites audience members to take the stage for an open-mic karaoke session, dubbed “Mickey’s open mic.”
Attendees are encouraged to embrace their creativity by donning outfits that explore gender expression or animation themes. In true drag culture tradition, tipping the performers is welcomed. “This special Friday the 13th event is all about celebrating queer creativity and individuality,” organizers shared.
Queer Magic Drag Karaoke Kingdom will take place at The Village at Ed Gould Plaza, 1125 N. McCadden Place. Recommended 14+ for strong language, sensual stylings, and blasphemous references to a beloved mouse. No late seating. You can purchase your tickets here.
Warm up your vocal cords and prepare to slay the stage in an unforgettable night of magic, music, a certain mouse, and drag.
