Beverly Hills Kicks off the Holiday Season This Week With Free Annual Event
The Rodeo Drive Committee and the City of Beverly Hills announced the return of their annual holiday celebration with a theme set to dazzle visitors: “Rodeo Nights, Holiday Lights.” The event, open to the public and free of charge, will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, transforming Rodeo Drive into a festive spectacle with lights, entertainment, and holiday cheer.
Thousands are expected to gather on the iconic palm-lined street to witness a night filled with enchanting displays, live musical performances, and holiday-themed entertainment. Festivities will include candy cane street performers, stilt walkers dressed as nutcrackers, and roller skaters adding to the vibrant holiday atmosphere.
“The holiday season allows us to come together as a community and celebrate, especially when the world around us feels heavy,” said Beverly Hills Mayor Lester Friedman. “We look forward to bringing cheer back to our city streets with captivating performances, festive lights, and the grand finale of fireworks.”
The celebration features a lineup of entertainment on a main stage at the intersection of Brighton Way and Rodeo Drive. Highlights include emcee CoryLive, an energetic DJ set from DJ Lady Sha, and performances from acts like The Red Hot Band featuring Tera Bonilla, BlueGrass Strings, Holiday Harmony Carolers, and a Yuletide Irish Dance Ensemble. Local groups, including UCLA’s a cappella group ScatterTones and the Beverly Hills High School Drumline, will also take the stage. Greg Scott, winner of NBC’s “Songland,” and “American Idol” finalist Vonzell Solomon round out the performances.
Guests can also enjoy food and drinks, with two wine gardens featuring offerings from 208 Rodeo. Additional photo opportunities and unique holiday decor will be set up along the street, adding to the experience.
At the event’s climax, Mayor Friedman will lead the countdown to the illumination of Rodeo Drive, followed by a visit from Santa Claus and a grand finale fireworks display lighting up the sky from both ends of the famed street.
Holiday decorations will continue to be on display throughout the city until Jan. 5, 2025. Highlights include the “Glowing Gardens” with large-scale holiday sculptures at Beverly Cañon Gardens and the “Lights on the Lily Pond” display at Beverly Gardens Park, featuring shows every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
