Lover of Men uncovers untold stories of Lincoln’s romantic relationships
A new film, Lover of Men: The Untold History of Abraham Lincoln, opens in theaters nationwide on September 6, delves into the private life of one of America’s most consequential presidents. The film, directed by Shaun Peterson, takes a fresh look at Lincoln’s personal relationships, particularly his romantic connections with men, drawing on never-before-seen letters, photographs, and expert insights from leading Lincoln scholars.

The film has partnered with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), with a portion of ticket sales purchased through HRC’s Custom Link Will Directly Benefit HRC.

The film fills in an important missing piece of American history and challenges the audience to consider why we hold such a limited view of human sexuality.
