Event to Shed Light on Hate Incidents in LA County and City
The Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations will present its 2022 Hate Crimes Report, including statistics about Los Angeles County and Culver City, on May 15, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Culver City Senior Center located at 4095 Overland Ave., with presentations held in Rooms B45 and B47.
Attendees will have the opportunity to listen and learn as the Commission unveils insights into hate crimes and hate incidents within the county. Marshall Wong from the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations will lead the presentation and engage in a Q&A session immediately afterward.
“We cannot stop the hate if we are unaware of when and where it is occurring,” emphasized Wong.
The evening aims to shed light on the types of hate crimes and hate incidents that have occurred and continue to occur, their locations, and their targets. The goal is to raise awareness about these issues and educate the community on how and when to report hate crimes and hate incidents.
