Hitmakers Awards Ceremony Interview Aftermath Prompts IG Response

In a recent interview with the entertainment industry trade magazine Variety, Billie Eilish, known for her song “Bad Guy,” spoke about how she feels about women.
During the magazine’s Hitmakers awards ceremony over the weekend, Billie Eilish was directly questioned on-camera about whether she intended to come out. After she responded, headlines announced that she had come out. In response, she sarcastically thanked Variety for “outing” her and diverting attention from more meaningful topics in an Instagram post.
Despite appearing upbeat during a red carpet chat on Saturday, Billie’s Instagram post later conveyed a less relaxed sentiment. She expressed gratitude for the award but criticized the magazine for addressing her personal life on the red carpet instead of discussing other matters.
“I like boys and girls, leave me alone about it, please, literally who cares,” she added in the post.
In her Variety interview, the 21-year-old elaborated on her feelings, stating, “I’ve never really felt like I could relate to girls very well. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real.”
When questioned about her sexuality at the weekend event, she remarked, “I didn’t realize people didn’t know. I saw the article and was like, ‘Oh, I guess I came out today.’ But it’s exciting to me… it’s cool that they know.”
