Beverly Hills’ Spectacular Holiday Magic: Join Them for the Rodeo Drive Lighting Celebration

Emmy Award-Winner Sheryl Lee Ralph to Perform To Begin The Season of Enchantment

The City of Beverly Hills and the Rodeo Drive Committee are excited to announce a dazzling holiday program featuring the highly-anticipated Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration, set to take place on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This event will offer a live performance by Emmy Award-winning actor and singer Sheryl Lee Ralph.

Sheryl Lee Ralph, the performer celebrated for her Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, will grace the stage. Known for her impressive career spanning across Broadway, film, and television, Ralph is set to captivate the audience.

The Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration marks the beginning of the festive season. The iconic Rodeo Drive will be adorned with exquisite holiday decor themed “Up, Up & Away Holiday,” featuring elements of whimsical hot-air balloons and beautifully wrapped holiday gifts. The palm trees, dressed in sparkling lights, and the center median adorned with festive colors will create an enchanting atmosphere.

“The Holiday Lighting Celebration is a cherished tradition that brings our community and visitors together, offering a glimpse into the magic of the holiday season,” said Beverly Hills Mayor Dr. Gold. “It’s an occasion to reflect on our blessings and look forward to the promise of the New Year.”

Throughout the event, the audience will be treated to captivating performances by acclaimed artists, including the cast of The Wallis’s LOVE ACTUALLY LIVE, the soulful Madison Taylor Baez, and the harmonious melodies of The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA). The evening’s lineup will also include The Maccabeats, Bollywood dance sensation Nazara, Terron Brooks, Vonzell Solomon, and other talented artists who will grace the stage.

Guests can also expect mesmerizing interactive roaming performers, roller-skating holiday packages, towering Peppermint Stilts, delectable food, a wine garden, and plenty of photo opportunities to make the evening memorable.

The night will culminate in a grand illumination ceremony as Mayor Dr. Julian Gold and City Council members lead the crowd in unveiling the Up, Up & Away Holiday! Decor. Santa Claus, escorted by the Beverly Hills High School marching band, will make a grand entrance on the Beverly Hills Fire Truck, followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

The festive celebrations will continue throughout the city until January 1, 2024, with installations including the “Glowing Gardens” at Beverly Cañon Gardens Park, the “Lights on the Lily Pond” show at Beverly Gardens Park, and the captivating “Unwrap the Magic” projection show at the iconic Beverly Hills City Hall Tower.

Don’t miss the historic “Jolly Trolley,” adorned with holiday garland, running to take visitors to the “Unwrap the Magic” projection show every Thursday through Sunday evening. A family-friendly holiday celebration is also scheduled for December 2 and 3 at Greystone Mansion and Gardens, offering joy to children of all ages.
