Girl Scouts Make Sales at WeHo Bars

By Susan Payne

A Glendale, California Girl Scout has found a new market for cookie sales in West Hollywood.

In WeHo’s LGBT Rainbow District, Siena has sold 100 boxes per weekend at the bars, selling out of her supplies completely, according to The Advocate.

“Siena is participating in a cookie sale to earn money to support Girl Scouts, and we thought what better place to sell cookies than in West Hollywood,” her mother, Jenn Levin, told WeHo Times. “We were here last weekend. A guy named Adam said he ate through all his boxes. He came back this weekend and said, ‘Are you going to pay for my Weight Watchers?’ I told him that I’m a hypnotherapist, so if he ever wants to cut back on the sweets, to call me.”

Siena was accompanied by her younger sister and their aunt, Lulie LaPlaca, a West Hollywood resident and producer on TV shows including The Bachelor.

“I was dreading selling Girl Scout cookies, but the gays have made it so much fun that now I’m happy to drive 40 minutes to sell cookies,” Jenn Levin said. “We were so excited that drag queen Billy [Francesca] bought the last four boxes of Lemon-ups, so mom could go home and relax with a glass of wine.”

WeHo Times reported that Siena was unfazed at her exposure to drag queens and LGBTQ+ culture, despite the hysteria some right-wingers believe.

During her first weekend in WeHo, Siena asked her mother, “Why are there so many naked people?” However, the next weekend when she was asked her thoughts on drag queens, Siena said she expected that here, The Advocate reported.
