Why Should I Get Stickers?

There are a number of reasons why you should consider getting stickers for your business. First, they’re unique. Not only can you use them on your company’s packaging or other merchandising, but they also make excellent and inexpensive promotional items to be handed out at events or packed into a customer’s order. A custom sticker with your company’s logo on it is something memorable that provides you with excellent brand recognition.

Stickers offer a colorful graphic display that can draw people in. Vinyl stickers tend to be very weather-resistant, making them ideal to stick to surfaces outside. With all of the different cuts, colors, and shapes, they allow a lot of creativity. They are great for meeting advertising goals for grabbing potential customers.

When making decisions over these stickers, there’s a few factors you should consider, such as what environment you plan on putting the stickers in – like indoors or outdoors – how long you want them to stay, and the size type you want.

What Do I Need to Know About Sticker Printing?

Stickers are designed to capture your attention. Furthermore, they can help communicate value to students or patrons. If you’re in the market for stickers, here are a few things you need to know:

  1. Adhesive Quality Matters

Stickers need to have a quality adhesive backing; otherwise, they’re worthless. However, it can be hard to pinpoint exactly what kind of material or surface someone will place your sticker on after they receive it. For example, stickers are going to work best on glass and plastic, while textured surfaces like wood will pose a greater challenge. However, if you have an idea of what you want the stickers to go on, this makes the process a lot easier.

This is why you need to use an experienced sticker printing company that can advise you on the proper type of adhesive to use based on the type of surface you have in mind. Permanent stickers need to have a long-term tack, or adhesive, while removable stickers need to have low long-term adhesive.

  1. You Need the Right Sticker Material

The majority of stickers are made with either vinyl or paper. Deciding between the two will depend on your budget and intended durability. Vinyl is more durable but it’s also more expensive, whereas paper labels are usually suited for one-time usage. Because paper stickers have a shorter shelf life, they are usually cheaper than vinyl options.

Vinyl stickers are usually made from something called polyvinyl chloride (or PVC) polymer. This gives a level of rigidity to the material while adding other ingredients like pigments and plasticizers to help with achieving additional flexibility. These are all mixed with fillers, heat stabilizers, and UV absorbers that increase resistance to UV radiation.

The right material can keep your stickers from fading or peeling. After all, you don’t want your brand or message to be associated with a worn-down sticker label.
