Big (Gay) Plans Ahead for West Hollywood

It may only be just ahead of the holiday season, but West Hollywood is already laying the groundwork for big things in 2018. As if WeHo wasn’t awesome enough.

This Saturday, November 4, the City of West Hollywood will host a free event on the Plummer Park Lawn to unveil the details for their upcoming WeHo Arts projects in the new year.

In addition to meeting the City Poet Laureate of West Hollywood Kim Dower, guests can compose a line in the April 2018 Citywide Collaborative Poem, preview an exhibit called Queer Califas: LA Latinx Art, and hear about the new public arts projects and programs that are coming down the pike in 2018.

But don’t take our word for it. According to a press release, WeHo Arts: The Plan is an up-until-now top-secret endeavor to:

  • Celebrate the City of West Hollywood’s distinctive artistic and cultural identities;
  • Identify and commemorate West Hollywood’s support and advancement of the arts; and
  • Articulate a shared vision for the future: securing the position for the arts and culture at the heart of our creative city.

You don’t need to ask us twice: We’ll be there with bells on.
