As Donald Trump met with hundreds of members of the hateful religious right in New York City, hundreds of LGBT and ally protestors jammed the doorway at Trump Towers in Manahttan. Shouting “No more Islamaphobia” and, in response to someone entering the building who called the protestors “Fucking Faggots,” the group briefly broke out in a chant of “We’re fucking faggots.” Protestors hope to draw attention to the meeting.
Trump’s embrace of the religious right has been building but his meeting today elevates that embrace and alarms protestors so soon after the shooting in Orlando.
